Location Questions
At the moment, since I’m just starting out, I focus on places I’m familiar with. On top of that, I am partial to popular tourist destinations—not just for their entertainment value, but because they’re more likely to have plenty of online resources that are accessible to English-speaking readers.
All of them!

There are so many legendary tourist spots on my bucket list that I can’t wait to visit and write about! Paris and London seem to be top contenders right now based on your feedback and book reviews.
I’m equally excited to shine a spotlight on lesser-traveled destinations. Are you like me, who gets so curious about getting up close with chimpanzees at a Sierra Leone sanctuary? Or window shopping in Tuvalu for local handicrafts with shells and feathers? Or maybe experiencing a day-in-the-life of researchers stationed in Antarctica?
The world is our oyster! Where would you like us to go?
Thanks so much for wanting to suggest ideas! The best place to leave your thoughts is in an Amazon book review. I read every single one, and they really help with the enigmatic ranking algorithm too!
Alternatively, please always feel free to email me!

Okay okay, I heard you! Due to my utter inability to draw or color anything, this idea didn't crossed my mind at first. However, after getting to know many of you (both online and in real life) who enjoy relaxing coloring pages, I’m definitely considering it. Give me some time to figure out what you’d like and how I can make it happen—it's a promise! Perhaps we can start with a few coloring sheets as a test run?
I’d prefer to feature Leto only when it genuinely ties into themes of world travel or exploring diverse perspectives. That said, I totally get the appeal of the Alexander-Skarsgard-of-Felines. I’ll try to include him more on social media and in newsletters! Leto, however, would like it to be known that as a distinguished adult male, he will not stoop to the indignity of cat costumes.
If you're curious to learn more about cats in general, I highly recommend Jackson Galaxy’s videos!
Yes, absolutely—thank you for your interest! I'm currently looking for folks who might want to help in the following ways:
✨ Cultural Sensitivity Reader: Are the travel and country details accurate? Is there anything offensive or culturally insensitive? (Upcoming destinations for 2025-2026 include Barcelona and potentially one more location TBD.)
✨ Game Tester: Are the puzzles too hard? Too easy? Do the puzzle designs make sense? Are the instructions clear?
✨ General Early Reader: You’ll be asked to provide honest feedback, which may include a short survey with questions like: Are the puzzle answer keys correct? What did you like or dislike? You’re also encouraged to leave a review on Amazon.
If this sounds like fun, please select "Join as an early reviewer" on the contact form and let me know which category (or categories) you're interested in.
All About Puzzles
My books are designed for curious young adults and adults of all backgrounds. The puzzles are meant to be a conduit for world travel—they are engaging but not intimidating. I do not design technically complex or challenging puzzles for the sake of it.
What You'll Need
✨ An open mind
✨ Internet access (many puzzles prompt you to explore websites and online content)
✨ A pen or pencil, or your devices if you have the ebook version!
✨ If you’re using the ebook version, I'd also recommend reading on a screen at least iPad-sized. Your eyes will thank you.
Are the Books Classroom-, Family-, or Team-Friendly?
Yes! I always aim to make the content suitable for general audiences. That said, I don't avoid occasionally referencing a great movie that happens to be PG-13 or R-rated. I also don’t shy away from ongoing discussions—such as politics—if they shed light on the spirit of a destination. For those sections, I work with independent researchers and fact-checkers to ensure balanced, factual representation. I trust you to decide what’s appropriate for your group.
Oh man, I'm not the best person to answer this! I mostly see myself as an enthusiastic puzzle player rather than a designer. To me, puzzles are such a fun way to bring travel and cultural exploration to life. I’m always excited to encounter new games, and I’ve been looking forward to future opportunities to collaborate with talented designers!
While I want to be clear that I have no formal training, here are some resources I’ve found helpful over the past few years:
✨ First off, "puzzle" can mean so many different things—what kinds are you into?
✨ Education: There are lots of high-quality online courses. MIT Game Lab, Coursera, and edX are great places to start. Personally, I find sitting through lectures a tad boring, so I usually skim the curriculum for a high-level overview, then explore those topics and keywords individually through formats like YouTube tutorials.
✨ Puzzle Production: I recommend BookBolt and The Game Crafter. They offer different kinds of tools—BookBolt is super beginner-friendly, and The Game Crafter provides a solid print-on-demand service for more comprehensive game production.
✨ Community: A good place for general Q&A is Puzzling Stack Exchange. For more niche and focused discussions, I’d check out Discord servers, depending on the type of game you’re working on.
✨ Just play! Successful designers understand the user’s needs, behaviors, and preferences—so let’s get playing! At the moment, I subscribe to two magazines: Highlights BrainPLAY (geared toward kids) and Games World of Puzzles. I love apps that offer a suite of puzzle games, including NYT Games and Everyday Puzzles. I’ve also discovered tons of new and exciting daily puzzle games since joining the vibrant #WQuers community on BlueSky.
Yes—thank you for your interest! Please select "Business inquiries" on the contact form and tell me more about your project.
Custom Design Requests
I’m open to custom requests, especially if you’re looking to transform educational or informational material into fun, engaging content. I'm particularly drawn to themes like travel, culture, and international experiences.
If your focus is purely on game mechanics or puzzle design itself, I might not be the best fit—you may want a dedicated game designer. But if your goal is to create something absorbing and informative, I’m all ears!
Puzzle and Game Collaborations
I'm open to collaborations, and I love getting to know more indie creators like myself! Just a heads-up: Vegout Voyage works primarily with paper and email newsletters, so any puzzle or game design should suit those formats. It’s also important that the content aligns with Vegout Voyage themes.
Got an idea? I’d love to hear it!
Author Processes
I'm new ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
Unlike many writers I admire who have felt a deep literary calling since childhood, my path to authorship was unromantically pragmatic. Nursing my corporate burnout, I was determined to pursue happiness and shove my obsession with cozy puzzle games into as many faces as possible. Plus, the hard truth is that our California mortgage demands a sacrifice named write-to-market.
My 9-to-5 scars left me craving autonomy to implement my own ideas, and self-publishing is the perfect gift of freedom. I don't backpack overseas as much as I did when I was younger, but travel as a topic not only allows me to dream vicariously, it is also my vessel to spotlight different voices around us. I’ve lived through many perspectives in this world—as a Taiwanese American growing up in Taiwan, and later as a statistician holding her own among Silicon Valley tech bros—and have experienced firsthand its power to ignite empathy.
After three long years of refining this business concept, a day finally came when I was able to affirm that I was cautiously less doubtful of its probability to succeed. Three months after that, my first proof-of-concept booklet, Take a Virtual Trip to Barcelona With Me!, was born.
