Raised in Germany, the U.S., and Taiwan, I was shaped by a multicultural upbringing that fostered a deep curiosity about diverse cultural perspectives and shared human connections. My international survey research in Uganda and Tibet-in-Exile further honed an analytical approach to this passion. As a lifelong puzzle game enthusiast, I now channel my love for The New York Times Wordle and Highlights BrainPLAY into curating guided travel adventures that blend leisurely play with meaningful global storytelling.

Survey research has been a lifelong passion of mine, taking shape around undergrad in the form of a summer job as a trilingual field interviewer at the National Taiwan University. I later worked as a survey methodology statistician at the Institute for Social Research under the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor while earning a master’s in biostatistics from its School of Public Health.
Chasing the rise and fall of AI, my partner and I moved to the west coast, and I pivoted into a fulfilling career in data science and machine learning until the COVID years burnt me out. Now, wearing my newly minted nine-to-five defector badge, I advocate for joy and leisure through my travel puzzle books. I believe pursuing happiness is our right while aligning ourselves with the hustle culture is often a choice.
Outside of Vegout Voyage, I’m a hobby vocalist, performing with my partner’s band, the Peninsula Women’s Chorus, and occasionally popping up in community theater productions.
